Eid al Adha 2023

Eid ul Adha 2023

Eid al Adha 2023, or Bakra Eid 2023, is expected to be celebrated on Wednesday, 28th June 2023. The festival is observed on the third day of Hajj and lasts for three days.

Eid al-Adha in different countries

In India, Eid al-Adha 2023 is anticipated to start on the evening of June 28. India traditionally celebrates Bakri Eid one day after Saudi Arabia.

Eid al-Adha is also celebrated in other countries around the world, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Significance of Eid al-Adha

Eid al-Adha commemorates the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) as an act of obedience to God. Muslims believe that God intervened and provided a ram to sacrifice instead of Ismail.

The festival is a time for Muslims to reflect on the importance of sacrifice and obedience to God. It is also a time for family and friends to come together and celebrate.
