Blue Skies Space Announces October 2025 Launch for Mauve
Blue Skies Space, a UK-based start-up company, has announced an October 2025 launch date for its Mauve stargazing satellite. The satellite will be the first of its kind, designed specifically to provide detailed images of stars and other celestial objects for both scientific research and public enjoyment.
Funding Milestone Reached
Blue Skies Space has also closed a funding round of over £2 million, including backing from Japanese investors SPARX. This investment will go towards the final development and testing of the Mauve satellite.
Countdown to Launch
The Mauve satellite will be launched from the United Kingdom, marking the first time a satellite has been launched from British soil. The launch will be carried out by Virgin Orbit, using their carrier aircraft, ground support equipment, and rocket.
SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket Launch
