Marlins Shortstop Out with Thumb Injury

Rojas Injured in Saturday's Game Against the Mets

Miami Marlins shortstop Miguel Rojas will miss Sunday's game against the New York Mets with a thumb injury.

Rojas suffered the injury in Saturday's game against the Mets when he was hit by a pitch on the right thumb. X-rays were negative, but Rojas is experiencing pain and swelling.

The Marlins have not yet announced who will replace Rojas at shortstop on Sunday. Jazz Chisholm Jr. is a possibility, but he is also dealing with a hamstring injury.

Rojas is hitting .275 with three home runs and 10 RBIs this season. He is a key part of the Marlins' infield defense.

The Marlins are hoping that Rojas will be able to return to the lineup soon. They are currently in a tight race for a wild-card spot.
